This week I ordered the 17.3 from Highpoint Scientific along with a few Delites, 9mm and 5. Looking forward to trying the 17.3 if we ever get clear skies. The next purchase will likely be a 3mm Delite. Mark. P.s. I don’t understand why you would get any thumbs down on this video. Received my 17.3. Love it. 👍
Timothy Hughes preferred Great to hear that. I too own a TV-85. I am curious to hear how you like the 17.3 with your TV-85. I am hoping to go out tonight with my scope and a Tele Vue Panoptic 24 and a few Tele Vue Delites. I am most a Moon guy. Mark
Hi all. I am sharing a video of an astronomy observer's chair I recently built. The chair is heavily based on a design by Daniel Barth, who posted the design on stargazers’ lounge. I have posted the link to the plans at the end of this comment. My apologies for the sometimes-jerky video, and even more apologies for the two dead points when I had to put the phone down. (I am not terribly tech savvy so I couldn't figure out how to edit the videos. You can skip from 3:38 to 3: 45 and from 7:15 to 7:36). Also, at one point, I said that the rail part is glued and screwed to the seat back, and that I first glued the rail to the seat and then drilled the pilot holes for the screws. Rather, I clamped the rail to the seat back, pre-drilled the pilot holes, and then glued the rail to the back and then screwed it. Also, any awkwardness show with the chair is attributable to my lack of coordination and holding my phone in one hand, and not to Dan's design. Awesome job on that, Timothy! Thank you for sharing!! I recently purchased a similar chair that was pre-cut (since I really like all my fingers), and am preparing to assemble it. I like the adaptations you made to yours.
Is this still a highly used glass or do you favor another or a different magnification?
Nice chair and I appreciate the video, but tripod, man. Put the phone on a tripod, lol.
I think 🤔 people should go straight to the point and not waste time with the wrapping and box
Highpoint Scientific gives a discount if you post the unboxing, hence the video shows that.

Did you ever buy your Televue tv-85?
I did indeed. Also picked up the Delos 3.5 and other items from HighPoint. I’ll try to post a video in the next week or so.

An Astronomer without a camera tripod. 😁😁??
Hey there how well did this eye piece work in your nexstar 8 se. I have a nexstar 6se and thinking about adding the Delos 17.3 thanks
Find a dark dark site and look at Jupiter. That's what I did. There's no describing what I saw. Perfect lens.

you should change the video title because this video is hard to find as the name has nothing to do with this eyepiece
video uploader had 1 year to rename video... genius.
